How to be groovy this winter

This outfit can be worn by just about anyone – but with a bit of manoeuvring to suit different body shapes.

Let’s start with the skirt (which I found yesterday in the Chelsea Pre-Loved clothing shop for $3). A mini skirt is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea so, depending on what you want to hide or accentuate, you could opt for a pencil skirt, a maxi or a full skater style skirt that falls just above the knee.

I love how this red Valleygirl skirt pops against these black faux-leather leggings. If you are conscious about your pins, then choose a nice pair of slimline pants, jeans or jeggings instead.

These are hubby’s favourite boots (from Wittner) and if you want to dress for your man, these are definitely the way to go. A lovely pair of booties or flats would be a lot more comfortable and look just as good.

And finally, what you do with your top half is only limited by your imagination. A leather, sequinned or satin jacket would also be de rigueur. I was after warmth and comfort at my lovely ladies group today so I threw on this wool Glassons striped top and fur-lined knit (I found both at different op shops for under $10).

Now have fun with accessories, and nailpolish, of course! I hope I’ve given you some ideas on how to rock a groovy outfit with very little expense in this cooler climate. And now you’re Looking Good Girls!

“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them,” Matthew 18:19-20.
